Omer Bartov is a Professor Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Brown University, where he has been teaching since 2000. He is widely recognized as an expert in the field of genocide. He has authored numerous books that explore genocides and crimes against humanity committed by various governments throughout history, including Nazi Germany. In 2023, he published a book titled “Israel-Palestine: Lands and Peoples.” Additionally, he has written a novel called “The Butterfly and the Axe,” which was published in 2023. His latest book, “Genocide, The Holocaust, and Israel-Palestine: First-Person History in Times of Crisis,” has recently been released.
Professor Bartov was born in Israel and earned his doctorate degree from Oxford University. He served in the Israeli Army during the Yom Kippur war, providing him with firsthand knowledge of the Israeli occupation and apartheid policies towards the Palestinians.
The simulation will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
