These rules apply to the $10,000 “This Land Is Your Land” Song Competition
- Submission Deadline: All songs must be submitted by December 31, 2025. A winner will be announced within 31 days of the submission deadline.
- Multiple Submissions: Performers may submit more than one recording.
- Submission Process: To maximize your chances, submit your video or non-video recording of This Land Is Your Land—using the lyrics above as soon as it is ready via email to ipconfederation@gmail.com
- Lyrics Requirement: Performers must make a good faith effort to follow the lyrics as adapted for Israel and Palestine, as provided above.
- Soundtrack Requirement: Performers must perform the music as it was written by Woody “This Land is your land, and this land is my land”.
- Selection Process:
- The Israeli Palestinian Confederation (IPC) will review all submissions and determine which songs will be published on its official YouTube channel. Once your song is selected, you will be encouraged to promote it on social media.
- Only songs published by the IPC are eligible for the official competition.
- Rights to Submitted Songs: by submitting a song, participants grant the Israeli Palestinian Confederation (IPC) a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display their submission for promotional and educational purposes related to IPC’s mission.
- Winner Selection Criteria:
- Winners will be chosen from the songs published by the IPC on its official YouTube channel based on the number of totals of YouTube views received before the announcement date.
- The IPC reserves the right to include other criteria at its sole discretion to determine the winner .The IPC’s decisions regarding song selection and the winner(s) are final and not subject to appeal.
- Continued Availability:
- Submission does not guarantee selection for the competition.
- If published, the song will remain on IPC’s YouTube channel and other IPC social media platforms. The IPC reserves the exclusive right to remove any song at its discretion.
- Liability Waiver:
- By submitting a song, performers waive any right to sue or make claims including for negligence against the IPC, its principals, board of directors, judges, employees, or affiliates.
- Rule Changes:
- These rules are subject to change without prior notice.
- It is the submitter’s responsibility to periodically review the latest version of the rules.
- Taxes & Financial Responsibilities:
- Any tax obligations resulting from participating or winning the competition are the sole responsibility of the winner(s) or participants.
- The IPC does not cover tax payments, and submitters are encouraged to consult a tax professional.
- Competition Timeline Adjustments: IPC reserves the right to modify the submission deadline and/or competition timeline at its discretion.
- No Compensation:
- Submitters waive any claims for payment, royalties, or other remuneration related to the submission, selection, or publication of their song or video.
- This rule does not apply to the winner of the song competition.
- Exclusions from Participation: The following individuals may not participate in the competition:
- IPC board members, judges involved in voting, IPC employees, affiliates, service providers related to this competition, and their immediate family members.
