Gideon Levy is a Haaretz columnist and a member of the newspaper’s editorial board who challenges the Israeli political consensus.
We presented Mr. Levy with the IPC Constitution, a proposed legislation to compel teaching of tolerance between Israelis and Palestinians, the creation of Joint Economic Zone, a declaration of intent to grant veto power to the Israeli, Palestinian and Hamas governments and compensation to Palestinian refugees. All of the above passed with the exception of compensation to the Palestinian refugees.
Mr. Levy’s views were complimentary. He sees a confederation government as a possible transition to One State which he supports. In his views the conflict must be resolved through Justice with equality and cannot be resolved in a vacuum.
Levy acknowledged that it is realistic to create an election for the 14 million people in Israel and Palestine based on the IPC constitution.
