Peter Tatchell is a human rights defender, the subject of a Netflix documentary “Hating Peter Tatchell “, and a longtime supporter of justice for the Palestinians and of BDS.

Peter Tatchell has campaigned for human rights, democracy, global justice and LGBT+ freedom for over 50 years. He is a long-time supporter of justice for the Palestinian people, whether that be by means of a two-state solution or a confederation of self-governing Jewish and Arab communities within a single unitary democratic, secular state with constitutional guarantees of security, human rights, equality and non-discrimination for all citizens. His human rights activism has resulted in him being badly beaten by President Mugabe’s bodyguards in 2001 and by Russian neo-Nazis in 2007. Peter works in solidarity with human rights activists in many countries, including Uganda, Iran, Russia, Pakistan and West Papua. He is the subject of a new documentary on Netflix, Hating Peter Tatchell.
