This simulation dealt largely with the concept of democracy in the context of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. During the simulation the IPC parliament voted to give a veto power to the Israeli government, the Palestinian authority and Hamas over legislation infringing on their sovereignty. Professor Dajani was critical of giving Hamas a veto power believing that it should be given to the “state of Palestine”.
At the end of the simulation 84 percent of the participants agreed with the concept of a common government for the people of Israel and Palestine to make peace.
