Professor Shibley Telhami supports two states. He believes that the creation of a common government for the people of Israel and Palestine as was proposed in the simulation is unrealistic. He argued that the IPC constitution mistakenly assumes symmetry between the Israeli government and the Palestinian authority. He also believes that Online elections to create a common government is unrealistic.
The IPC agrees with Professor Telhami that there is no symmetry between the existing Israeli and Palestinian governments. However, the IPC Constitution gives equal veto power to the Israeli and Palestinian governments thus elevating the power of the Palestinian governments to be equal to the Israeli government as applies to IPC legislation.
As to Online elections, the IPC believes that Online elections are realistic given the fact that many governments and private organizations have been holding such elections for many years.
